Chelmsford Hockey Club welcomes new players of all ages and skill levels, including players who would like to get back into the sport after time away. We offer great playing and coaching opportunities, super facilities and a thriving social scene.

We are based at Chelmer Park in Galleywood, Chelmsford with both water and sand based hockey pitches, a welcoming clubhouse and superb changing facilities. Every weekend we field seven Men's teams, including two Men's Veterans' XI's, five Ladies teams, and a Sunday Mixed XI.

Our Ladies 1st XI competes in the England Hockey League Conference East Division with the other Ladies XI's playing in the East and Essex Leagues. Our Men's 1st X1 play in East Premier A with our remaining Men's teams playing in the East Leagues. Our Vets play in the London Supervets League and the Evergreens, who are a social Veteran's side, play lots of friendlies and tour on a regular basis.

In addition, we participate in both the Essex, Regional and National indoor competitions; and have a thriving junior section for boys and girls from aged 7 upwards with very established links with schools in the area. In the summer, we host the men’s Chelmsford Summer Hockey league and our ladies also have regular summer league games

With over one hundred and fifty regular adult team playing members of all ages and abilities, as well as a thriving youth section, we are always keen to welcome new members. So if you would like to join or know more about the club, please contact:
