Warm Up Drill
Simple drill.
Player A runs and passes to B who receives on the move. A needs to work “fast feet” through the ladder. B receives and drives around the cone and passes to A. A receives and shoots and then receives another ball from baseline. We can include another shot for B too.
NB. Footwork and speed |

Technical Drills
RECEIVING ON THE BASELINE
During the session various pass/receiving movements should be rehearsed.
Receiving on the baseline relies on various skills and techniques. One of the most important aspects is the angle of the pass. |
|
Tempo Drills
Fun tempo drill that can be added to scoring shots/techniques as we progress.
Player A passes to B who leads back to receive ball. B receives and executes a half turn. B then flips the balld over a stick and dribbles at pace through cone chaos. As B enters circle he looks up and makes a connection with C. C slaps on goal. Immediately after slap shot C turns and receives another ball from A. as C receives the keeper closes him down – this turns into 1 v1 vs. keeper. While C plays against keeper, D dribbles and takes on keeper. A becomes B, B becomes C, C becomes D. |
