Foundation Umpire Award Sunday 22nd July 9:30 am – 4:00 pm Chelmer Park (Chelmsford Hockey Club), Beehive Lane, CM2 8RL
The Foundation Umpire Award (FUA) is designed for young people (13+) who want to learn about the skills of umpiring and have an introduction to the Rules of Hockey. It is an enjoyable course based around classroom and pitch activity. It focuses on 11-a-side hockey (not In2Hockey). The Award is not intended to provide qualification into senior competitive hockey but allow people to umpire in junior sections of their club, at Junior Development Centres, Junior Academy Centres and school club link activity.
The course will cost £20.00 per candidate which is payable in advance. This covers all exam material, rule book, and whistle. Places are strictly limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis.
If you are interested in taking part in the course please contact William Davey (william.davey@sky.com) for a Course Registration Form or more information or contact Bunny King
